The Yellow-rumped Warbler is by far the most abundant warbler during fall, winter and spring migration. As much as 80 to 90 % of the warblers spotted during the migrations are Yellow-rumped.

To me these colorful slate blue, white, yellow and black marked warblers are overlooked because of their abundance. I can't count the number of times I have heard fellow birders say (oh it's just another yellow-rump) after they realized the bird they had spotted in the brush was one of these beautiful birds.

I will post another image of it singing in a WS.
