More from recent trip to the Tetons. This scene feels timeless to me but gigantic fault lines and glacial moraines and potholes tell a different story.

I brought out some detail in the trees, resized and sharpened.

Located in northwestern Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park protects spectacular mountain scenery and a diverse collection of wildlife. The central feature of the park the Teton Range is a 40-mile-long mountain front rising from the valley floor some 6,000 feet. The towering Tetons were formed from earthquakes that occurred over the past 13 million years along a fault line. The jagged range includes its signature peak Grand Teton, 13,770 feet (4,198 m) and at least twelve pinnacles over 12,000 feet (3,658 m). Seven morainal lakes adorn the base of the range, and more than 100 alpine lakes dot the backcountry.

Hi Evelynn,
I am afraid that I will come up with something simular to this one...but not the same. Did you take this one near Oxbow Bend? If so, that it would mean that I was there three days earlier and you should have been bale to see my foot steps :P ....darn, we should have made some arrangements to meet. O well, there is always another time and another place.

The photo: just beautiful with great details in the trees and a stunning view and reflection.

TFS,
Niek

Superb shot, Evelynn!
The colors are outstanding and the POV magnificent. The mountains really look like they've been there since ever.
Very nice composition, also.

Another winner, Evelynnn. A great composition. I like the way the peaks of the Tetons so closely mirrors those of the trees, and with this perspective they are at roughtly the same height.

My hunch is that someone will bust you for having violated the "LAW of thirds." Personally, I feel this is observing the rule, and I think the thirds here -- sky/bg, middleground, and foreground water -- is one of the more pleasing compositions for landscapes.

Looks great Evelynn, but I wonder how much more superb it would have been with low light or a setting sun. Maybe a stiller reflection too? Anyway this looks like a wonderful location and definitely made for a great shot. I like the bit of pond scum and grasses in the lower left corner for added DOF to the composition. Clouds are great too and rerally add to the drama of the day.

Hi Evelynn,
Superb landscape picture: blue sky with scaterred pure white clouds, snowy mountain, pine forest, calm water, and reflection on water surface. All are perfect, emitting clear sense of tranquility. Superb shot.

Hi Evelynn
Excellent Landscape so clear and beautiful.
The clouds are still walking and coming to me .Hope to be there when in the next two seconds open me eyes!
TFS and see you!

This is your best capture in the series, Evelynn.
Water, earth and sky combine here into a great symphony.
TFS.

Hello Evelynn,
Appart from beeing a beautiful photo in the whole, the clouds have a very special transparence. (I'm starting to get jealous of your camera and skills, it seems great for landscapes)
Well done and TFS

Excellent capture of this beautiful landscape, great composition, perfect exposure.
Very well done and thanks for sharing!

Beautiful capture Evelynn. I would have like something maybe a little more solid in the foreground to strengthen composition. More grass or large boulder etc. I think you could raise your highlights through levels in the clouds just a notch. Well done.

Hello Evelynn, what an excllent photo, its a beauty of colors, crisp and composed excllent work, TFS Kyle

Salut Evelynne
C'est super ce paysage avec ses belle couleurs et ses beaux dtails.La composition est trs russie.L'arrirs plan avec ces belles montagnes donne de la dimention a ta photo.

Merci pour le partage amiti ...JP

Another stunning picture of the area. Pictures like this really leave me considering a trip across the Atlantic....

What a lovely area you have captured really well. Have you thought of using a CP filter as well as the ND Grad filer? To bring the blues and whites out in the sky as well?

TFS
