My sister took the day off of work today and her and my two youngest daughters visited the Oregon Zoo. I found this guy a Sumatran Orangutan sitting right up against the window looking bored out of his mind. He looked at me for a bit, yawned a big yawn, which I of course got out of focus, and then layed his head down on the wooden ledge.

I had to do some burn tool and cloning on a few spots because of the reflections in the glass, I don't have a UV filter....need to get a better camera I think! I'm hinting to hubby that for our 20th anniversary that would make a great present.

Hi Lori
A great photo of this gentle 'sleeping beauty' at his most innocent, which you have captured with a very interesting POF.
The composition is good and I like the snug crop in this case. The colours are nice although it does show some evidence that it was taken through a glass. So does the reflection of the wooden pane (or at least it seems like it) at the bottom of the shot. I must say you did the cloning very well as I can not find the spots that you touched up, maybe just one on the upper lip. Anyhow it still remains a very nice photo.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

That turned out really nice! My photos are not good. Needed my smaller lens for him.

Hi Lori, I agree with Loot - Sleeping Beauty! They can look so sad at times, but this fella is peacefully sleeping.
Very good up close to her, and I think you did well with your cloning. I don't think I've been so close to one before. Good job, thank you
Janice
