Gato montés (Argentina)
Gato-do-mato, maracajá, gato-de-Geoffroy, gato-montês-argentino (Brazil),
sacha mishi (quechua).
Its scientific name is a tribute to the naturalist francéss Geoffroy St. Hilaire.
It is the commonest and extended wild cat of Argentina. This cat lives in the La Plata; although it is an animal that is not scared much of the visitors, rare time I have seen it outdoors. The photo was scanned and improved in colors, luminosity and contrasts. Camera Zenith, lens of 58 mm.

So this is a "Geoffroy's Cat", a small sized South American Wild Cat. I love his inquisitive look Hernan, and his colours and patterns are quite pretty. So very similar to a domesticated tabby cat, but it definitely isn't.
Wonderful wild cat, thank you

What aninteresting cat the image is a little to soft for my liking. With a face like that I am glad it does not sleep on the end of my bed
I love the colour pattern on this wild cat Hernan.
He's looking right at your camera with big wide eyes.
It's nice to see where our domestic cats come from.
Nice detail, colours and composition.
...your welcome about the Meteor shower....the moon is almost full and might make it hard to see. :))
