[Note Guidelines]
I saw quite a few of these boldly marked moths while vacationing at Chautauqua Lake in New York. They must have just recently hatched because the woods was filled with them.

These moths can be found from Manitoba to Northern Maine south to Pennsylvania and Great Lakes States. Their larva feed on Hound's tongue,(Cynoglossum officinale.

How beautiful it matches the size and angle of that leaf, charming shot.

Hello Ron,
Well captured this Tiger Moth. Quite well eye catching composition. Exposure looks good too. Against green vegetation it looks nice.
Thanks for showing,
Regards,
Srikumar

Hello, Very nice composition and nice colours

Hi Ron,
Nice moth, very spectacular, especially when contrasting the dark green background. Great sharpness on the insect, nice details on the wings. There's a little background noise detectable, but the spectacular composition with the Haploa confusa matching the width of the leaf takes everything... Fantastic shot, congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
