This morning me and my son took the boat over to battleground Lake to do a little fishing. After we're there for about an hour we noticed this Bald Eagle circling above us looking for fish. After a few minutes he dives down and glides over the top of the water and scoops out a small trout and flys over and lands on this log. As he is sitting here enjoying his meal this crow flies down to see if he wants to share. It was kind of funny because after this every where the eagle went the crow would follow I have several other shots including in-flight where the crow is right beside him and the whole time the eagle did not seem to be bothered by this. The difficult part throughout the whole thing was trying to get steady and focused shots and I think we all know that a boat is not very steady and being a first time photographing from a boat made it interesting. After seeing how close and the different views I could get being right on the water I will definitely be trying that again. I will be posting more of these eagle shots in the next few days. Thanks for looking. Oh yeah, and for those of you who are wondering how the fishing went. Well put it this way I'm glad I brought my camera because the eagle is the only thing I caught. For the third time in a row my son Andrew who is 16 out fished me again. He had caught two real nice size rainbow trout.

Wow!!! Great photo Tom!!
I would love to be able to get a shot like this. Perfect in every way, the clarity is right on, and the colours are very vivid. You couldn't have asked for a better pose.

This is among my all time favorite images Tom. Seriously! It is a once in a lifetime capture. Congratulations!

Hi Tom
I think you were at the right place at the right time to get both the eagle and raven in one shot. The low view gives the feeling of being beside the birds. I love the colours and composition. Well done.

Hi Tom,
I like the scene you captured a lot. TFS

Great shot, Tom, with that big lens... from a boat! It is really a wonderful photo with both birds in the frame... and it is so sharp too. Nice work! I've been out of town for much a the past three months but will try to get onto TN a little more regularly now.

An awesome shot, neighbour! This majestic bird has been done great justice by this shot of yours! You've played very well with the light as well. But the best part is, Tom, you showcased it in its own environment!
Very well done!
