This photo was taken on a relatively clear day with dispersed cloud. Light was not strong but still allowed 1/320...just enough for moving animals and surging ocean, both the subject and the photographer moving!
This was taken on tour with ON THE WILDSIDE who do photographic tours in the South Pacific. The whales migrate from Antarctica to tonga in the southern hemisphere winter. www.onthewildside.co.nz
