|I followed this little female Eastern Towhee for about 60 minutes as it foraged through the thick undergrowth along the Magee Marsh Equestrian Trail. Walking very slowly so as not break even the tiniest of twigs, I didn't want to frighten the bird away.|
At times I could only hear it scratching through the leaflitter like a chicken, this would let me know it was still in the vicinity.
I took about four shots during the hour long stalk, this one being the best of the four. As you can clearly see, the sun had gotten a bit brighter by the time I finally managed to capture this photo.

Hi Ron,i wonder you happiness when finally you can take this pic after 60 minuts...ehehe..it's the same sensation that i tried sometimes with a nervous butterfly...ehehe...and the pic is very lovely, perfect sharpness and a colorful background, very nice way to show us this rare guest of TN. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
The branches are helping to frame the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Eastern Towhee. The good luminosity is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.
I don't mind harsh light if bird is colourful except white and yellow.
Like your low level POV shot here. Nice exposure and details. I can see harsh light in the BG, very difficult situation.
Thanks for sharing,
Amazing details, colors and a nice specie of bird.
