Another photo from my trip to Hungary, this time about the polypore species Ischnoderma resinosum (Schrad.) P. Karst., which was firstly shared by me on the pages of TrekNature 5 years ago (please click here for the image if interested). This time I post a photo about the underside (trama) and what's very characteristic for this species, the golden guttation drops.
Species distribution: considered as rare in Hungary. As per my observations, it isn't rare at all, especially on beech (Fagus), but on other deciduous wood as well.
Photo: taken in manual exposure mode, with flash, manual ISO and white balance. PP (Photoimpact): moderate cropping, slight level adjustment, after re-sizing selective sharpening with Neat Image module.
Thanks for looking.

Your latest post is just as nice as your first post from years ago. What immediately catches my eye in this shot is the beautiful droplets clinging to it which resemble honey. The wonderful lighting and excellent detail show it off in an attractive manner. TFS.
Beautiful presentation of this fungi against such dark BG. Details look good and well exposure. Golden drops look nice :-)
