Just back from my holiday. It was much more about enjoying the beach and the water of Lake Velencei, however, at least some nature photos were made, and here's one. The young polypore on the pic is the Chicken-of-the-woods (Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull.) Murrill s. l.), quite common in the Northern hemisphere, especially on softwood. Although edible and fine, causing brown caries on trees. As current mycological studies based on DNA analysis (like Vasaitis et al. (2009)) show the name Laetiporus sulphureus hides more than one biological species, it's not yet possible to determine the strict sense (L. sulphureus s. str.), so further studies are in need to be sure how many exact biological species we have and where the species borders are.
Photo: was taken in the Pákozd-Sukoró Arboretum, on trunk of maple (Acer sp.), in manual exposure mode. No PP except for moderate cropping and very slight level adjustment.
This was one of my last photos taken with my old Lumix as I upgraded to another camera, a Sony DSC HX400V.

Hi Laszlo,i'm happy to read that you have bought the sony 400,it's a very good camera, just a small problem for the flash position when i go very close to a butterly. And this mushrooms family is very strange and interesting, the quality is excellent too,as usual! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
So many Chickens! Well captured them. POV looks nice with perfect exposure. But location bit unfriendly to me to make a classic picture with those Chickens. Good details and nice colour.
Thanks for sharing,
Looking forward to see your new camera's picture,
Amazing colorful mushroom. Exceptional clarity and fantastic sharp details.
Welcome back, Laszlo!
This is a very unique species of Fungi and you have captured it well in the ambient light.
The image is so sharp it gives a three dimensional impression.
