[Note Guidelines]
Spectacled Cobra's are quite a common find in Mumbai, They can range from a light yellowish brown to completely black where the markings on the hood are not visible.
They are quite excitable when cornered & will raise a hood & strike out in earnest or mock in an attempt to warn away the threat. This can lead to injuries to them too. I have never come across a snake that has wanted to delibrately attack , their first instinct is to run. If the possibility seems difficult then they will display.Though a bite is purely accidental & only out of mishap.

Thanks for sharing this photo and information.
Good work!

Hi Bardruddin,
An impressive and amaizing photo, you were closely together? it gives a little fear, single I I would in the middle do it with a crystal.

Hello Badruddin,
This is an excellent close-up of his wonderful animal. I like those details you caught and great lightning. This is a great eye contact and I think that this snake looks very proud. Well done and well seen. Thanks,

Hi Badruddin.
This your shot is really perfect at high range. I like everything so much. First of all your cropping, composition and framing. Very well done. Crisp sharpness, details and clear colours are wonderful too. POV and DOF are very impressive. You managed to cope with strong sunlight very well. My best wishes for 2007 and TFS.

Hi Badruddin

Wauw...I hope there was a glass or some very safe petition between you and this poisonous customer. I'd rather face a lion at close quarters than this guy. Well, come to think of it, maybe not a lion either, but ok I'll tackle my neighbours kitty-cat without gloves.

This is a great shot presented in a lovely vertical composition to accommodate this lanky snake. The colours are very natural, the details are excellent, the BG faded beautifully until it was well OOF thereby enhancing the subject, and the exposure was well managed.

Very well done and TFS.

PS. May you and your loved ones experience all the joy & happiness, good health & strength, as well as prosperity & fortune in 2007. And of course some good light on your photographs.

I'm not sure I would want to be that close, great timing and sharp details
