Taken on the same trip as the previous lion shot, When they started playing I could not resist taking this shot.

It seems they don't make a habit of facing the sun.

Hi Oscar,

What a beautiful moment here, splendid scene between mother and child, it's a very difficult picture through the sun, but you did very nice.

Hi Oscar,
Very nice moment, not an easy shot with the light, but well done. Good sharpness.

Howdy Dutchie

I just did a doubletake on a shot from Alaska when I tripped over this beauty! I like what you captured. It's such a great
doubl portrait that it deserves to be seen closer-up. See WS.
Hope you like. TFS, J.

Dear Oscar

When I saw your introduction I felt if you where describing me and how I see nature. It gave me goose bumps to know that youngsters are not ashamed to give the Lord the praise for His creation and especially not ashamed to do it knowing that thousands of people are reading your intro. Good for you!

I quote from your intro page and I admire you for that."I have always loved nature. I suppose it is one of the many joys of life that I inherited from my parents. They taught me to respect and appreciate Life, no matter how big or small. Life in itself is a beautiful thing, not the specific animal, plant or insect (no matter how creepy). And it defines meI love experiencing life, untouched by the hand of Man, but nurtured by the hand of God."

Back to your picture. I really like the photo a lot. There is a special bond between mother and child. A very exceptional moment you captured on the right nick of time. Minutes later this special gesture would not have been possible and we would have missed out on a beautiful photo.

I am not a photographer myself, and am too old to start, but I do love looking and admiring beautiful photos of nature. I would however loved to have read a more informative note. At my old age I have learned such a lot about nature, just by reading the notes the photographers supply with their postings. Here I really would like to mention a fellow South African photographer. His username is loot.
On what I have gathered of him, is that he is always willing to share his knowledge, gracefully, and in an unselfish manner. This way we all learn (and I dont mind) learning till the day I die.
Regards
Aaltjie (a Dutchman in South Africa)
