The black-headed heron (Ardea melanocephala) is a wading bird of the heron family Ardeidae, common throughout much of sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar. It is mainly resident, but some west African birds move further north in the rainy season.

Hi Deon, perfect pose, typical of the heron looking for something to eat,and very impressive sharpness too despite the distance, excellent work another time. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Thanks for sharing the excellent pic. Looking at the bird, I think it looks like a Black-headed Heron?

Sheriff
